The Patriotic Flag Company was started as a way to honor my three sons’ service in the United States Army. As I coped with their departure from my day to day life, I found making these crafts therapeutic and a way to show my boys they were always on my mind and in my heart.

At The Patriotic Flag Co., my entrepreneurial spirit has been the driving force behind our unique, handcrafted wooden flags and signs. My commitment to excellence is reflected in every piece we create and in the long-standing relationships cultivated with our patrons. Our team’s dedication to quality craftsmanship has established us as a cherished brand among our customers.

With that being said, I want to help others honor their families & friends as I do. It’s with great gratitude and reverence that I create each new project. From the patriotic to the whimsical they are all special and inspirational. Below is a story I told to my three sons.

THE TWO WOLVES:

There’s a story of the two wolves in Cherokee culture in which a father teaches his son a critical life lesson...

The father tells his son that there is a battle going on inside all of us. It is a battle between two wolves that live inside us.

He says, “My son, the battle is between two ‘wolves’ that live inside us all. One is evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego. 

The other is good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.”

The son thinks about it for a while and says, “Which wolf wins?” The father replies, “The one you feed the most”
